Datafeedr Affiliate Store Plugin way Overpriced

I don’t know if you webmasters have ever heard of the Datafeedr plugin before. If you’re not familiar with it you can check it out here. It’s basically a plugin that allows you to easily make an affiliate store with wordpress. It does all the hard work for you, takes all the data feeds from affiliates and plugs them into one cool plugin. On top of that they allow you to have your own search box on your store, so when someone searches your store, they search across a ton of affiliate stores when searching for one product. Datafeedr also uses mod rewrite to make all your urls masked and search engine optimized. So no one steals your commissions or makes Google think you’re an affiliate site. The customizations are truly endless with all the Wordpress themplates out there, it’s just the price that is an abomination.

Here’s the rundown

• 1-Site Plan – $27/month – Create one affiliate store with unlimited product updates.

• 5-Site Plan – $47/month – Create up to five affiliate stores with unlimited product updates.

• 10-Site Plan – $67/month – Create up to ten affiliate stores with unlimited product updates.

• Unlimited Site Plan – $97/month – Create as many affiliate stores as you want with unlimited product updates.

Is it just more or are those prices astronomically high.  For the first site plan you can actually buy a VPS for that, I can’t see paying that much.  Especially in these hard economic times and with a ton of other affiliate stores out there.  I guess the only way to find out is try it out.  The best thing to do would probably get your wordpress site established, do about a 100 unique articles, then join a plan.  But it overall takes time to make a very established affiliate store, it may take up to six months to a year to start earning some good money.

I can see them charging $27 for unlimited amount of sites, but for one site, that’s way too much.
