Harder to Get Backlinks?
November 6th, 2009Since Google introduced the nofollow attribute back in 2005, I think it definitely has complicated things for all of us Webmasters. It almost seems like this could cut out the average Webmaster entrepreneur. It’s going to be 2010 shorty and everything seems ok for me and many other Webmasters, but I have to say it is definitely harder to acquire backlinks.
Google doesn’t want us buying links, but if you think about it, that’s exactly what some of the big gun websites have done. They hired seo companies to do their dirty work, I guarantee they didn’t do it themselves. Hell, they wouldn’t no where to start.
Matt Cutts and Jason Shellen had the write intention to cut back on indexing spam sites with the nofollow attribute. I just don’t think it was the right thing to do. I’m sure there are other ways to prevent spam indexing.
